²⁰ Amon did things that the Lord said were evil, as his father Manasseh had done. ²¹ He lived in the same bad way as his father did. He bent down low to worship the useless idols that his father had worshipped. ²² He turned away from the Lord, the God that his ancestors worshipped. He did not obey the Lord's teaching.
